Explainer videos are big projects. I have a simple step by step process for creating explainer videos that lets my clients stay in the loop, watch things progress and generally stay involved.
- Research & Discussion – I speak with you about your business, clientele, competitors and goals for your explainer video. Here, we identify what your service or product is ll about, its unique selling points and the action that you would like your prospects or customers to take as a result of watching your explainer video.
- Script Writing – building on what I have learned in the previous step I write a script. A great script is the bedrock of a great explainer video, so I offer unlimited revisions so that we can really nail it.
- Voice Over Short Listing – I audition UK or US Male & Female voice over talent and present you with a short list, allowing you to choose the right voice for your explainer.
- Style Selection – you choose the right visual style for your explainer video’s visuals. I can provide you with examples to choose from or you can give us notes at this stage.
- Storyboard – I create good old hand drawn storyboard thumbs to support your explainer videos script.
- Voice Over Recording – I hit the recording studio with the talent you selected and tape your script.
- Illustration & Animation – I bring everything to life and present you with the resulting product, giving you the chance to request revisions.

Explainer videos are large projects so can setup milestones and accept payment in installments if required.
Turnaround time is TYPICALLY 11 days including communication, weekends & such.
I seek your input at every step of the process (as described above) and only move on to the next step once you are happy. If you sign off on work and then wish to return to a previous step later in the process this will incur a fee. By working in a systematic way, our time is protected and you can be sure that you end up with a final result that you are thrilled with.
